New Machinery Regulation - Status of harmonised standards Harmonised standards should be in place by the time the Machinery Regulation comes into force. According to the currently valid Machinery Directive, there are more than 800 such standards in the corresponding EU Official Journal. This means that by the deadline, these standards must at least be revised so that they meet the new requirements of the regulation. New Machinery Regulation On 2023-06-29, the final Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 was published in the EU Official Journal. It will come into force directly in every member state from 2023-07-19 and can be applied from 2027-20-01. The previous Machinery Directive remains in force until this date.
