Notes:

  • For the successor standard EN IEC 60335-2-24:2024 incl. amendment A11:2022. the national editions (ÖNORM) have not been published yet. As soon as these are published, this will be added immediately for each standard.
  • A total of 75 harmonised standards are considered obsolete as they are not product standards that can meet the safety objectives of Directive 2014/35/EU. These standards relate to test methods, informative guides and general documents and can no longer provide a presumption of conformity. The references to these standards and their amendments will therefore be removed from the Official Journal of the European Union with a transitional period of 18 months (13 June 2025).
  • For reasons of clarity, the Commission has repealed the previous Implementing Decision (EU) 2019/1956 on the publication of harmonised standards for the Low Voltage Directive, which was supplemented several times. Today's decision therefore includes a complete list of all.

    Specialties oft he Commission Implementing Decision: 

    • The European Comission included the Draft EN 60669-1:2018/AC:2020-02 in the Official Journal as technical corrections had been introduced. For this amendment no OVE/ÖNORM document is available neither. 
    • The published amendments oft he standards EN 60947-5-2:2007 and EN 60974-1:2012 must be applied right away (without transition period).

        Specialties oft the Commission Implementing Decision: 

        • So far, the 3 newly added harmonised standards have never been published in the Official Journal oft he EU. In the scope of the order M/511 of the European Commission they were created by CEN and CENELEC.
        • Error correction: in a former implementing decision the standard EN 62477-1:2012 was listed as successor for the standard EN 50178:1997. As there was no date indicating the termination of conformity, this norm is withdrawn as a harmonised standard within this Implementing Decision with immediate effect.
